U.R.S.S. 1970, Cold War… Land side: the iron curtain, sky side, the Mig 25, 10 an interceptor plane, capable of reaching speeds of Mach 3. Inspired by this legendary plane, Richard Orlinski creates a work that expresses a form of dehumanization. Placed on a metal stele, a Mig 25 pilot’s helmet. To breathe: an oxygen tube. To speak: a microphone. To hear: a radio. Behind the visor, the pilot’s thoughts are triggered by a command: a Soviet tribute parades to the beat of the national anthem.
