An allegory of the Born Wild © concept, the Pinup d’Orlinski is a tribute to Women, a tribute to Beauty born of violence. To the overused womanobject, Richard Orlinski contrasts the plastic perfection of a goddess, nudity in the tradition of classical artists. Marble has been replaced by resin, monochrome white the realism of flesh color, brown hair and blue eyes. Venus can no longer be born in a shell like Botticelli or emerge from the waves under Bouguereau’s brush. The new Venus, with its contemporary measurements, is born in the sharp jaw of a predator, a symbol of the cruelty of today’s world.
